Brown is a versatile colour, it doesn't have to be boring or basic. From the dark shades of rich mahogany to lighter and neutral wood colour, brown fits just about anywhere. Brown possesses rich earthy quality and it also indicates warm, comfort, solid, permanence and security.

Brown is also the colour we wake up to, just like a cup of hot coffee greeting us in the morning. Most people are so used to seeing brown as the background colour and for that, they had forgotten that brown can also bring us warmth and comfort.

One of the traits about the colour brown is it is versatile. Basically, brown fits just about anywhere as it offers so many different variations from the dark shades of rich mahogany to lighter and neutral wood colour. Brown is most suitable if someone wants to include natural element into a home, especially the living room as it is the first room you step into when you return home from a tiring day at work.

The first step to introduce shades of brown into your living room is to try establishing a fitting décor. By choosing key pieces of furniture such as sofas or tv cabinets with that colour or a feature wall, it will undoubtedly complement with the oil paintings and match the rest of the décor in its general lines.
Just by adding this outstanding piece of art, the crisp white from the furniture and the colour of the wall with the earthy hues of browns from the abstract oil painting comes together and creates this harmonious space that exudes cordiality and coziness.
