Abstract paintings are always top sellers when it comes to which art styles sell the best. This can be evidenced in the type of paintings our customers request the most. Abstract art may just look like random splotches of colour on a canvas, but for the artist, creating the artwork is a means of expressing their creative energy and emotion. Some viewers may choose to buy abstract art because they feel a connection with the colours, forms, texture and energy the artwork exudes. Or, they just simply want to beautify their surroundings.
Abstract art is probably one of the easiest art styles to display in your home due to the lack of a defined subject matter and complexity. It’s a great starter piece if you’re just starting to purchase oil paintings. It may seem a little intimidating when it comes to displaying your abstract painting; ‘Where should I hang it?’ ‘Will it match with the rest of my décor?’ and other concerns, but don’t worry, the beginning of anything is always pretty puzzling.
If your furniture is made up of neutral tones then a vibrant and colourful abstract painting is a sure-fire way of introducing some colour into your interior. The bright painting will not necessarily clash with your furniture, but instead create a nice contrast.
There are boundless opportunities and reasons to surround yourself with beautiful things. So go ahead and add some colour to your world.

I can safely say that Turquoise is my current favourite color. I don't know, maybe because i was inspired from my recent trip to Krabi Island? When I think about the colour turquoise, I immediately envision myself lounging by the beach, feet buried in the warm sand, sipping a refreshingly cold mango blended juice. The colour's soothing nature reminds me of the cool sea breeze that would so often embrace me whenever I am at the beach.
Turquoise is an easy shade to work indoor. Adding this vibrant hue will instantly make any interior space pop and feels airy and refreshing. Nothing beats the calming, yet unpredictable foamy white waves that seems to be playing peek-a- boo amid the sparkling blue sea which changes shades, reflecting the sky.
Like most of us dreamers who can't afford a luxury villa by the beach yet, why not create a living room that transports us to that atmosphere once you set your foot into your nest? This gave birth to my humble version of Poseidon's realm with a feminine touch. An accurate depiction of the sea can only be done with the shades of the colour cyan, a greenish blue, a mixture of the sky's reflection and the sea algae.
Amongst the shades of cyan, my favourite was turquoise as it is an eye-catching exquisite colour with a complex character, though soothingly simple when used interior designing. The centrepiece would be a white couch with its matching pillows where I can imagine myself to be laying on the sandy beach
when I plop myself on it after a hard day at work.
My feet would brush across the smooth, furry aero blue carpet as I reached for my juice on a shiny marble white diamond-like coffee table. My gaze would then lay upon a beautiful seashell underwater 100% handmade oil painting that complements the interior of a coral-shaped blue-green single-seater, an oblong-shape, antique-looking cabinet of the same colour and ornamental pieces such as seashells, golden, imperfect pots, golden leave and an exotic table lamp, all of which looks like the treasure of the sea after an adventurous voyage.
We are all dreamers aren't we? But with a little imagination, this can all be reality.
