EPS 12: young Entrepreneur show with Dato' Sri Dr. Vincent Tiew

If I tell you that a fishmonger son is now one of Malaysia’s most successful entrepreneur, would you believe me? You would probably not. But you know what, this person that I interview will make you believe that anybody, yes, anybody can become a successful entrepreneur. Meet Dato Sri Dr. Vincent Tiew, one of Malaysia’s most brilliant property tycoon. I had actually met Dato Sri a year before, at a property meet-up titled, ‘Increase the Value of Your Property and Stand Out from The Rest’ and oh my god did Dato Sri stand out.

​He is such a great mentor. I came to the event to talked about one of the subjects, but I got to admit, I was  I was taking notes from him! And I was beyond excited when I got him to agree to an interview for my programme.

If you ask me, the perfect word to describe Dato Sri is perseverance. I am super awe-struck by how driven Dato Sri is. Can you imagine, at the age of 19, Dato Sri did not have the money to continue his education. But, he did not give up. He got a job, worked hard and with the bonus he received, funded his MBA education in Australia. He was only 22! Simply amazing! Most 22-year- olds are still tied to their parents’ bank account. I can actually see the passion in Dato Sri’s eyes. This passion fuels his need to always be one step ahead. Did you know he has even bought memorial plots for up to four generations in his family?!

Speaking of passion and perseverance, that is the title of his book. One of the gems that I have collected from the book is that we should always create opportunities, don’t wait for it. I see this in the way Dato Sri lived his life. Only when we path our own roads to success, will we be able to move on and not get stuck in a dead end.
