Coastal Living

You don’t have to live by the ocean to enjoy the peaceful vibe of coastal interior space. It is a prefect place to start by playing with the colours of the sky, sea and sand to form a dreamy theme. Coastal Living has been increasingly gaining its popularity for its light, breezy, and refreshing feel.

One of the first few things that come to your mind when it comes to Coastal Living is the colours of white, blue and turquoise and beige, oh the colour of soft sandy beach.

When I think about these, I immediately envision myself lounging by the beach, feet buried in the warm sand, sipping a refreshingly cold mango blended juice. The colour's soothing nature reminds me of the cool sea breeze that would so often embrace me whenever I am at the beach.

Like most of us dreamers who can't afford a luxury villa by the beach, why not create a living room that transports us to that atmosphere once you set your foot into your nest? An accurate depiction of the sea can only be done with the shades of the colour cyan, a greenish blue, a mixture of the sky's reflection and the sea algae.

Shades of cyan or turquoise is an eye-catching exquisite colour with a complex character, though soothingly simple when used interior designing. The centrepiece would be a white couch with its matching pillows where I can imagine myself to be laying on the sandy beach when I plop myself on it after a hard day at work.

We are all dreamers aren't we? But with a little imagination, this can all be reality.

Here are some add on accessories that you can add on your home to create a coastal living, even if you are living in the city.

From coastal turquoise to bright tropical palettes, there are many different shades of colour that can help bring your favourite hues to your home.
