Pretty in Pink

Pink is a delicate, sweet and charming colour that really embodies the meaning of love. It is charming and tender and being surrounded by the soft colour could make you feel like you are being engulfed in a warm hug.  Pink gently symbolises love, passion and femininity.

There are many shades of pink to choose from, from soft pastels to bright hot pink. It’s the perfect colour to create that romantic atmosphere at home.

Master bedroom is the one place in the house that should emanate those lovely vibes. So, get out your plushy pillows, silky blankets, expressive artwork and turn the lights down low.

Of course, pink is also excellent for a girls’ bedroom (and boys, too!). While the pink used in the master bedroom created a more romantic vibe, in a kid’s room, it represents the sweetness of an innocent child. Perhaps a little too sweet for some. In the wrong hands, pink can become too ‘candied’ and overwhelming. You wouldn’t want to feel like you were being surrounded by fluffy pink marshmallows, although that does sound somewhat appealing.

Using a light shade of pink, such as pastel and pale pink, can help tone down the normally bright colour. By pairing it with soft pale shades, the room turns into a soothing instead of loud space for a quiet night of home. Or if you are bold and loud (like me), you can opt for something more colourful and bright shades of pink.

Which ever you prefer, add pink in your home to bring out the sweet and feminine side of you.
